An adorable photo shows one of Greater Manchester's New Year's Day babies. Sarah Black welcomed their baby boy at 1.46am on January 1, 2025, making the child one of the youngest in our region.

The baby boy, born at Manchester Foundation Trust's Oxford Road site, entered the world weighing just 3,950 grams.

The child, whose name has not been announced, could be the first baby in our region born in the year 2025.

In a short statement the Trust's division of maternity services said: "Sarah Black welcomed their baby boy at 01:46 on New Year's Day weighing 3,950 grams born at our Oxford Road site."
