The reality TV contestant found love on the ITV show
A Big Brother star has said that he is ‘heartbroken’ in a candid update to fans following the announcement of his ‘incredibly painful’ breakup.
It was confirmed on Tuesday (April 22) that Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan made the ‘sad’ decision to end their relationship.
Meeting back on 2023 on the regular edition of Big Brother, which Jordan won in the series’ revival, the couple stayed together for 16 months.
Fans were hooked on the antics of the lawyer and food writer as they slowly fell for one another.
Going on to launch their Club Sandwich podcast, Jordan and Henry appeared on an episode of Celebrity Big Brother: Late and Live together last week.
Taking to his Instagram story on Tuesday (February 22), Henry said: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways.
“It's incredibly sad, and we're both hurting, but we know it's the right step. We're so grateful for the love and support you've shown us - thank you. Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”
Jordan added in a separate post: “After many happy times, memories and precious experiences, Henry and I have parted ways. I want to thank everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers.”
After fans rushed to send them their sympathies in their droves, Henry has provided an update on how he’s been keeping in the wake of the news emerging.
“Hello, I just wanted to say a genuine thank you for all the kind, thoughtful messages today. I'm trying not to look at too much online as it makes me anxious.
“Truthfully, I'm heartbroken. This was my first relationship, and it's incredibly painful to see it come to an end.
“Today has been one of the hardest days of my life, but I'm hopeful that things will get better with time,” he said.
Henry continued: "I know there's always going to be chatter when something like this happens - all I'll say is that I loved deeply, stayed true to myself, gave it everything I could, and I'm hurting a lot right now.
"Thank you again for all the kindness. It means more than you know."”
Meanwhile, Jordan uploaded a video of him getting ready for the day, telling his followers that he would ‘hate to wallow in self pity’.
“I suppose I must be honest rather than use humour… I just wanted to thank everyone for all the messages and all the comments.
“It is a period of grieving and to be frank, because I usually am, it's f***ing horrible. However, there's little to be done in at present other than let my feelings play out,” he said.
