The critically acclaimed musical, The Bodyguard, is heading to Manchester on its UK tour in 2026, with tickets going on sale for as low as £15 each. In a genre-bending twist, the show is a romantic thriller that follows a Secret Service agent and a high-profile star who ultimately fall in love.

Manchester's Opera House will play host to the production for 14 shows across 12 nights, with matinee sessions taking place on Saturdays. It's all set to kick off on January 19, 2026, running right the way though until January 31.

The Bodyguard features plenty of Whitney Houston songs to keep the vibes high, including the likes of Greatest Love Of All, Million Dollar Bill, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You. The entire production is based on the 1992 movie of the same name, which featured Whitney Houston herself and Kevin Costner.

First debuting in London's West End in 2012, the show going on to several more successes. In 2018, 2019 and 2023, the entire UK tour sold out.

There's no official word on the full cast yet, but we do know that Melody Thornton will play the lead role of Rachel Marron. She was previously a member of The Pussycat Dolls music group alongside Nicole Sherzinger.

Tickets for the show will go live on Friday, March 7 at 11am. However, there's a presale going on right now, which I'll explain how to access below.

Tickets for The Bodyguard start at £15, ranging up to £20 for showings later in the week.
