Donald Trump’s latest White House press conference saw the press told to 'get out' after a medical emergency took place.

The President of the United States was discussing Iran as he faced questions about Dr Mehmet Oz’s swearing-in as head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service

‌

The physician, who is best known for his Dr Oz TV show, previously failed to land a Pennsylvania Senate seat in 2022.

Dr Oz was administered the oath of office by the US Goverment’s Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Moments after this, a young girl fainted on the stage, which Mr Trump didn’t appear to notice as he continued answering a question.

Upon officials realising what had happened, members of the press were told by an official to ‘get out’ of the room while Mr Trump watched on.

‌

When the incident occurred, Dr Oz rushed off away from the cameras to check on if the girl was okay, thankfully she was.

A White House official said in a statement: "A minor family member fainted during Dr. Oz's swearing-in ceremony in the Oval Office. We are happy to say she is OK."

‌

Video footage of the incident, saw Mr Trump leaving his post to attend where Dr Oz and others were helping the girl.

The girl was then seen being helped leave the room, where Mr Kennedy and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt could be seen.

Prior to this, Mr Trump said that Dr Oz had come to his new position ‘as one of the nation's most talented and beloved medical professionals’.

‌

Despite the doctor having graduated from Harvard, received his medical degree from Penn and served as Director of the Cardiovascular Institute and integrative medicine program at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Mr Trump admitted he ‘thought he just did a show’.

Looking back at his initial run to become President during the 2016 election, Mr Trump explained how Dr Oz inspired him to lose weight.

"You know why I know the show? Because he said, I'm a little overweight. I should lose some weight.

“I did a show, and that's what I got out of it. That was not good," he said.
