It's the luxury gym loved by sport stars and celebrities nestled in the Cheshire countryside. Now CPASE has been named the best boutique gym in the UK for a THIRD year running.

To become a member of the super-exclusive gym, you'll need to be prepared to pay the £330-a-month fee. Then you get access to all the jaw-dropping facilities at CPASE, which is billed as a "revolutionary fitness playground".

‌

The gym can be found in the village of Great Warford in Cheshire, sandwiched between Knutsford and Alderley Edge.

The gym is owned by health and fitness entrepreneur Clare Stobart. Clare and her team celebrated success for a third year at the National Fitness Awards just before Christmas - named as Boutique Facility of the Year.

The health club is known for its hi-tech sports equipment, cryogenic chambers and indoor swimming pool and saunas. It also boasts that it's "Cheshire's most exclusive gym" as membership is capped at just 800 people so that it never gets too busy inside.

‌

Celebrities and footballers are known to frequent the jaw-dropping health space, where full, "access-all-areas" memberships cost £310 a month. Before his departure from Man United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and wife Georgina were regulars and often shared photos on social media using the facilities.

CPASE is pronounced "Space" and is also known as "Clare's Space", after its owner, Clare. She first opened the venue in October 2020.

She dreamed of creating the perfect gym space - after spending years researching the world's best gyms and heading to the biggest fitness conventions. The result is the super-exclusive health club which includes state-of-the-art equipment, treatment rooms, and a dazzling pool.

Here you can swim as well as relax on loungers arond the pool. There's even the option to order a glass of fizz after your workout or gym class.

The main gym space features a "Female dedicated zone" in the upper mezzanine area described as a "perfect escape for women who feel more fitness confident when working in a dedicated space". Even the locker rooms are extra luxurious - complete with Dyson hair dryers and straighteners to sort your hair out after a workout.

‌

The health club also has it's own cafe, April's Kitchen, serving up freshly made health foods as well as a games room for relaxing with pals. Members with kids can also take advantage of Saturday morning family swimming pool takeovers - the only time children are allowed into the otherwise adults-only gym space.

When you join up (with a £400 joining fee) you get your own state-of-the-art watch that you can use every time you use the gym to keep track of just how intense your different workouts are. Classes at the gym also include trapeze yoga, in a dedicated yoga studio on the site, as well as a range of Cyclo Skill Bike spin classes and high-intensity workouts.

‌

Due to the range of equipment and the secluded location in Cheshire, the gym has attracted a wealth of famous faces. The Cryochamber is also popular with everyone from world champion boxers to rally drivers, who find the low-temperature therapy pod aids with recovery, as it is said to help muscles recover after high intensity workouts.

When the gym launched its own padel courts in the summer, comedy star Jason Manford, who is a long-time member of the gym, was called on to do the honours of cutting the ribbon.

‌

There's also a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy tank for use of members - where you can relax and watch TV inside an exclusive two person luxury chamber. It's said to be effective at treating a variety of conditions, and it involves wearing an oxygen mask and "breathing pure oxygen" throughout the duration of the session.

Also in the main gym space is a quirky step workout - where you can see just how many steps you need to walk up to do the equivalent of landmarks like Big Ben (186 steps), the Eiffel Tower (926 steps) or even to the top of Mount Everest (25,280 steps). The reward for dashing up the steps though, is that you can always use the large adult tube slide to get back down again.

Clare said: "Winning Boutique Facility of the Year at the National Fitness Awards again for the third year in a row is a remarkable honour. This reflects the dedication, passion and hard work of the entire CPASE team.

"I’m incredibly proud of them. Their commitment and drive are what make achievements like this possible. This award is a testament to their unwavering dedication and the sense of community we’ve built together.

"Without our amazing loyal members, we wouldn’t have such a great community and this is the cornerstone of our success. We are continually striving to enhance the offerings at the club and this year has been no exception.

"Among our latest innovations is the addition of the Brass Monkey ice bath, widely popular for being the coldest in the area and even producing ice.

"Another standout feature introduced this year is the new Padel Park, boasting two state-of-the-art padel courts and a stylish padel shack, further enriching the club’s community atmosphere."

‌

Clare said that looking into 2025 there are more developments set to be unveiled. It includs a new "tropical garden" being launched in the Spring, which will extend the offering from the April's Kitchen restaurant inside.

Future plans also include a new outdoor recreation area, featuring a running track and an outdoor fitness zone along with plans to add a canopy over one of the Padel courts.

Clare added they have also expanded the gym's offerings to include a range of cutting-edge health services. These include vitamin drips and infusions, vitamin booster shots, functional medicine consultations, and lymphatic drainage massage.
