'I've been through mummy mode and shock mode - now I'm angry'
Peyton Reardon was playing with her friends when she was hit by a car
The mum of a young girl seriously hurt in a hit-and-run in Bradford has issued an appeal after the driver responsible was reportedly spotted in Manchester.
Peyton Reardon, 7, was playing outside with friends on Newark Street on Tuesday (April 22) when she was hit by a red Seat. The driver fled the scene, leaving Peyton in the street.
Mum Kylie rushed her to hospital, where doctors told her she had a broken fibula and tibia and growth plate fractures and would need multiple operations and a skin graft to heal.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News from hospital, Kylie said she was furious at the driver, who has not yet been found.

"It's just really frustrating," Kylie said. "I'm just going through the emotions. I've been through mummy mode and shock mode and the strong mode for her. Now I'm feeling angry at the driver."
Kylie said Peyton told her she looked left and right before crossing, before the red Seat 'appeared' and mowed her down. Police told her it had later been picked up on ANPR in Manchester.
Peyton was rushed into surgery on Wednesday for an operation to insert a wire to temporarily hold her bones together to stabilise the leg and clear the wound. Today (Thursday), she was being transferred to Leeds General Hospital for a second procedure due to the severity of her injuries.
"Now she's had one operation I feel like I know what to expect," Kylie said. "I'm just angry about how he dipped and left her." She added she expects Peyton to be in hospital until at least Monday.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called by the ambulance service at about 6.18pm on Tuesday to a report a car had been in collision with a child in Newark Street Bradford.
"The girl suffered a leg injury in the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment. A red Seat car involved in the collision failed to stop following the incident.
"Enquiries were conducted at the scene by roads policing officers and are continuing today.
"Anyone who has information about or footage of the collision who has not yet spoken with officers can contact Bradford District Police on 101 or online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat referencing police log 1461 of 22 April."
