Manchester City star Jack Grealish's future career after football might be taking shape, despite admitting that he was "awful" at his other passion just a few years ago.

With the Blues preparing for an FA Cup semi-final vs Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, Grealish has taken some time to decompress this week and he has been working with Rudosa on his first set as a DJ. Taking to social media platform Instagram, the former Aston Villa man wrote: "Some practice with the guvnaaa.

"Trying to plan my first set." While the thought of Grealish headlining a big stage in Ibiza this summer could be far-fetched, music has been a long-term hobby for the 29-year-old.

In 2022, Grealish told Josh Denzel on TNT Sports that he was practicing the art of DJing while also turning his hand to other hobbies. "I like every type of music," the 39-cap England international added.

"I'm trying to learn to DJ at the moment, DJ Grealo. I'm awful, but everything takes time.

Jack Grealish has shared a little glimpse into his life away from football this week.

"People say DJing, once you get the hang of it, it's something you can really enjoy. I don't know what my genre would be, I think I'd be a bit of everything; '80s, house, RnB, hip hop, '90s."

"I want to try and learn some stuff outside of football," Grealish continued. "I watch some stuff on TV but when I thought about it I don't actually do much outside of football.

"I'm trying to learn Spanish as well, Spanish in a Brummy accent."

The following year - as part of City's sponsorship deal with OKX - Grealish hosted his first DJ set alongside Oliver Heldens in the 'OKX Collective Metaverse'.

Transitioning into music after retiring from professional football would be an unconventional career path for the Birmingham native. Unsurprisingly, most footballers have become coaches or managers after ending their playing careers, but Grealish has not expressed a desire to do that as of yet.

Grealish has another two years remaining on his contract at City. He has been linked with a move away from the club after chances in Pep Guardiola's team slowed down, while Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs credited with an interest in his services.
