LEGO set based on iconic Minecraft movie moment drops to £29 at Argos with offer
The LEGO set is based on the 'Chicken Jockey' meme from the Minecraft movie that's taken over the internet.
Despite being panned in critic reviews, the Minecraft movie appears to be absolutely thriving in UK cinemas right now. That's largely down to the sheet number of memes that have originated from the film, with the likes of TikTok and Instagram full of fans quoting the movie in videos.
One of the most popular memes from the movie is the 'Chicken Jockey' moment where the main characters are tasked with fighting a zombie riding on the back of a chicken in a woodland manor. As it happens, LEGO has made a set that depicts this very moment, and you can currently grab it for much less using a shopping hack at Argos.
Create a new TopCashback account using this link and you'll be given over £15 when purchasing the LEGO Minecraft set at Argos. It normally goes for £45, but savvy Minecraft fans can pick it up for £28.88.
The set is made up of 491 pieces and depicts a diorama of the scene where main character Steve comes out with the iconic 'Chicken Jockey' line. Builders will construct the arena itself, plus a fairly large chicken jockey model and another tower structure to complete the set.
LEGO fans are getting a fair few minifigures here for the price, with models of Jack Black's Steve, Jason Momoa's Garrett and Sebastian Hansen's Henry. On top of that, there's also the zombie riding the chicken and a large model of a Piglin to build.
At this new low price, the set works out to 6p per brick which is considered to be a fantastic deal when it comes to LEGO. Normally, the set goes for 9p per brick.
There are two reviews of the LEGO set on the Argos website, both of them giving perfect five star ratings. "This LEGO set is fantastic for the kids, my grandson really enjoyed building it and had fun playing with it after. It comes with everything you see on the box to build so there’s plenty to keep the kids happy and characters from the film including chicken jockey which my grandson loves," says one reviewer.
The other reads: "This set comes with 5 characters and it is interactive as you can use handles to fight battles in the ring. It is a fairly easy set to make, our 9 year old had no problem in doing so."
There are more reviews on the LEGO website with 23 of the 24 giving four stars or higher. The only negative review is a single 1 star rating, but the customer didn't leave any additional comments.
LEGO also makes another Minecraft set which might be of interest if you've recently seen the movie. The Crafting Table set is available at Argos and can be picked up for £80, or less if you use the TopCashback offer alongside it.
Alternatively, there's also the LEGO Baby Pig house which can be found at Amazon for £13.98. With 238 pieces, it's targeted at a younger audience.
