Moulin rouge! musical is coming to Manchester, how and where to get £29 tickets
Moulin Rouge! is coming to Manchester's Palace Theatre from August to October 2025
If you're looking for something to fill an evening in either August, September or October, heading to the Palace Theatre to catch a showing of Moulin Rouge! The Musical is an excellent way to kill three hours. With 70 showings across the two month period, there are plenty of tickets left on sale, with some of them as low as £29.50.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a Tony award winning musical that adapts Baz Luhrmann's film into a stage show. It follows the story of an English writer who travels to Paris and meets a performer in one of the city's nightclubs, the titular Moulin Rouge.
The stage show stars the two protagonists as they fall in love, keeping their relationship a secret from the Duke that the performer, Satine, is promised to. Reviews describe the show as 'spectacular' and 'a whirling machine in which set, choreography and music lavishly fuse'.
Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor star in the original movie, but the main roles are portrayed by Verity Thompson and Nate Landskroner in the show coming to Manchester. The musical has risen to popularity since its opening show on Broadway in 2019, quickly becoming a fan-favourite among theatre-heads.
How to get Moulin Rouge! The Musical tickets
There's currently only one place to purchase tickets for Moulin Rouge! The Musical at Manchester Palace Theatre and that's via ATG Tickets. They're readily available to purchase with no need to sign up to the ATG+ membership.
If you're looking to get the cheapest tickets, you'll need to look for dates in September and October. All of the dates in August start at £50, with the vast majority costing £59.50.
However, you can still find tickets for as low as £29.50 if you're flexible with your dates and can make an evening on a weeknight. All of the matinee, Friday and Saturday shows charge the highest prices.
You might want to act fast if you are keen on picking up tickets, though. Availability is rated at either Medium or Low for most dates, so those cheaper tickets are likely to sell out quickly.
