Nearly 100 pubs in the North West to celebrate St George’s Day with 2,000 free pints - full list of locations
Cheers!
Nearly 100 community pubs across the North West will be taking part in a special celebration of St George’s Day this week with the chance to bag a free pint.
A number of venues operated by Proper Pubs will be celebrating the occasion on Wednesday (April 23) with customers given the opportunity to get themselves a free pint of beer.
Pubs taking part will include the Alma Inn in Bolton, Wigan’s Dog & Partridge, the Pineapple Inn over in Oldham, Ashton Under Lyne’s Bowling Green, and the Jolly Crofter in Stockport, alongside other venues in the likes of Accrington, Blackpool, and Chester.
All customers will need to do is to turn up to any of the 83 participating pubs and simply log onto the WiFi whilst in the venue. Customers will then be informed if they have secured a voucher for a free pint of John Smiths.
Proper Pubs has said there will be 2,000 free pints being handed out across all participating pubs on Wednesday to mark the national day. St George’s Day is held each year to honour the patron saint of England who, according to legend, slayed a dragon and saved a princess when he was a soldier in the Roman army.
The Bricklayers Arms in Failsworth, the Gilnow Arms in Bolton, The Honeysuckle Inn in Wigan, and Hilton Park in Leigh will also be taking part in the special offer.
Mark Brooke, Managing Director of Proper Pubs, said: “St George’s Day is a brilliant opportunity to bring people together and celebrate all that’s great about communities across England.
“Our pubs sit at the heart of these communities and it’s moments like this that show how important they are, acting as welcoming social hubs that bring local communities to life.
“We’re delighted to mark the occasion in true Proper Pubs style, offering customers the chance to enjoy a free pint of John Smiths and we look forward to welcoming everyone in to celebrate with us.”
The 2,000 pints will be available across all 83 participating Proper Pubs sites in England - whilst stocks last. Remember to drink responsibly.
