Ruben Amorim has decided which players he wants to keep and sell at Manchester United and claimed "every player wants to play" for the club.

United have ramped up plans for the summer transfer window by holding discussions with the representatives of playmaker Matheus Cunha. Cunha is optimistic of joining United. Liam Delap has emerged as United's prime striker target.

‌

Four United players - Tom Heaton, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Christian Eriksen - are out of contract in the summer while United want to sell loanees Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.

"Yeah, I could say that," Amorim said when asked if he had decided on players' futures. "Of course, this is a conversation for the end of the week. But I have an idea that is clear because we have to do things early but things can change until the end of the season.

"I will not say nothing about Matheus because if I say one time I will have to say for any situation that is yes or no, so I will not comment on that. We have to focus on this season, even the way we prepare for next season could change in these games, so it's hard to predict what can happen in the future."

United could finish as low as 17th in the Premier League and are striving to salvage the season in the Europa League, with their first leg semi-final against Athletic Bilbao next week.

‌

If United fail to win the Europa League it will officially be their worst season since they were relegated in 1973-74. Despite the club's lowly stock, Amorim claims "every player wants to play for Manchester United".

"It’s Manchester United," Amorim enthused. "What I feel is that there are a lot of players that want to play for our club. And I know if you look at our club in the moment, it looks like sometimes with all the problems, the staff, people going, changing coach, the results, it looks a little bit of a problem but we have a clear idea and that’s the easiest part to explain to a player.

"And then it’s Manchester United and every player wants to play for Manchester United."

Amorim also suggested some players could change his mind in the run-in, citing the example of Casemiro's recent revival. "Everything can happen. I think Casemiro is the best example.

"He wasn’t playing and then you see the last games he’s having a part, he’s performing quite well and he’s playing all the time. I like to change my mind, if they change my mind I'm really happy with that.

"I just want to put the best players in my team."
