A man has been charged with sexual assault in Didsbury.

Arachchige was later remanded and was due to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court on Thursday (April 17).

Detective Inspector Gary Kelly, from GMP’s Manchester district, said: “We take all reports of sexual assault incredibly seriously, and we thoroughly investigated the alleged incident of the weekend, which has now resulted in the arrest and charge of a man.

“I would urge anyone with any information to come forward as we continue our enquiries.”
