Dad praised for calling out daughter's behaviour towards pensioner on the 610 bus
The dad decided to shame his daughter over her 'entitled' behaviour
A dad who called out his daughter's behaviour towards a pensioner on the bus has been praised for his 'proper parenting'.
After receiving a message from his daughter who had been told off by an older lady for putting her shoes on the seat, the dad decided to shame the girl's behaviour and thank the woman for her actions.
Sharing a post on social media on Tuesday, which has since gone viral, the father shared the photo of the woman that his daughter had sent to him and said: "So my daughter has just been on the 610 from Leigh to Golborne. If anyone knows this lady in the picture please pass on my apologies and also my thanks.
"My daughter is part of an elite generation of children who thinks the world owes them a favour and they can behave how they want. Trust I’m doing my best to put a stop to it. She sent me these and I think somehow expected me to side with her. I’m not a deluded parent who thinks the sun shines out of her …… I will be speaking to my daughter when she gets home."
He also shared the messages his daughter had sent him, in which she said: "Some old woman just moved my feet off the seat n was sayin i av no respect told me to p**s off and sayin rudeness gets rudeness when all i said was dont touch me please and she said its ur shoes not u i said my shoes r on me dont touch me this woman is giving bare dirtys saying s**t to me this like pure old woman."
The dad then shared the reply he'd sent to his daughter, which said: "Good on her. Shouldn't be putting feet on seats people have to sit on it's just rude, disrespectful and bad manners.
"Don't be giving her any grief for her standing up for what's right. Make sure you apologise before she leaves or you leave whichever happens first. And tell her I said thank you."

More than 2,000 people reacted to the post, which has attracted hundreds of comments, many of them from people praising the dad's stance.
"Wow it’s nice to actually see this kind of parenting," said one. While another added: "Well done for addressing this so publicly. Too much of this going on on our entitled society. No respect for anyone or anything other than themselves. I admire your proactiveness to this."
A third commented: "Well done sir. Proper parenting which will pay dividends in the long run. I tip my hat."
Not everyone was as impressed, with a few people saying the dad should have dealt with it privately.
One woman said: "The fact your child is swearing at you to describe how this lady has conducted herself is in itself astonishing and that you’ve shared a picture of this lady to prove that you’ve told your child not to behave like they have. This has left me embarrassed for both you, your child and this lady."
But the majority of people clearly sided with the dad, saying the issue is 'becoming more and more common these days on public transport'.
"Fair play to u," said another woman. "If only every parent accepted that their children are not always little darlings! The world would be a better place."
Another said: "It's refreshing to see an example of some actual parenting. Good on the lady on the bus, and good on you."
